By the end of the BOLD Summer School, you will be able to: 

– Develop a deeper understanding of main concepts (such as plurilingual and intercultural education, intercultural citizenship education, social and educational justice, linguistic equality, social action, service learning, language activism, …).
– Envisage linguistic and cultural diversity as a tool to promote civic engagement and active citizenship in different educational contexts.
– Critically discuss service-learning experiences around and for linguistic and cultural diversity and their impact on personal and professional growth and on society.
– Design approaches and strategies to integrate community service into curricula as to address real-world linguistic and cultural needs within and beyond your local educational settings and communities.
– Enhance your capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders — such as civil organizations, associations, and educational institutions — to foster service-learning opportunities that bridge diverse educational settings.
– Increase your skills in managing linguistic and cultural diversity in the classroom and beyond, contributing to an environment that actively supports diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.
